Mandy Jiroux recently called J-14 to give us an update on her girl group, The Beach Girlz, who are shopping around for a record label.
"We're meeting with Downtown Records, Virgin Records, Universal Records, Hollywood Records and hopefully more to come," she says.
The girls have five completed tracks for their debut disc and three that are currently in production. Mandy's personal favorite so far is the dance ditty, "I Got." "It's a really good track," Miley's BFF reveals. "It's a lot of fun and all the girls are on it, and it's a fun song.
While we had Mandy on the phone, we dished about a little about Miley (you'll have to check out the Dec. issue for all the deets) and Mandy's new celeb crush. Like most girls, Mandy has officially entered the Twilight zone. "I wish Edward existed," she spilled of the 2D4 character from Stephenie Meyer's book series and the upcoming movie. "I was at a party and Robert [Pattinson] was there, and I was like 'Huh.'" And Robert's hotness left Mandy speechless. "I didn't go say hi. I wish I did, but I didn't."
