With a debut album set to release this spring, the Sweet Rush sisters are about to hit the airwaves by storm. J-14 sat down with Siham and Iman to get the inside scoop on their music, meeting celebrities, and performing on My Super Sweet 16.

J-14: What inspired you to pursue a singing career?
Siham: We always had the talent, but when we younger, our dad just did not approve of it. We always had to hide it from him. He didn't even know we could sing up until we moved to Atlanta.
Iman: He didn't take it seriously like we did. He was like, "You guys are going to be doctors."

J-14: How do you describe your sound?
Iman: Our sound is pop. It's fun. Our music is animated.
Siham: It's influences of our culture, where we come from, stuff like that. It's just fun and everybody can relate to it.

J-14: Your first single's called "Hot Sauce". Tell us about it.
Iman: "Hot Sauce" is a little different because we're rap singing. It was something different for us since it's up beat. The album's called Sweet and Spicy. You definitely have a lot of sweet songs -- a lot of message songs -- and then this would be the spicy side of the album -- the attitude.

J-14: Has anybody left you star-struck?
Iman: One person I saw but never spoke to was Beyoncé. I was like, "Okay, I'm not even going to look at her." And she looked at me. She was smiling, and I was like, "Oh my God!"

J-14: What it's like performing on My Super Sweet 16?

Iman: It was so unexpected and so fun! Our manager, his friend was talking to him, and was like, "I'm throwing a Sweet 16 for my daughter." Our producer was like, "You should get Sweet Rush on." And then his daughter met us, and she really liked us. We didn't believe it until it came out on TV.
