Hey Guys! It's J-14 Intern Tierney here with the exclusive deets on all of the totally awesome special features on the Twilight DVD, out this Saturday! Are any of you guys hitting up a midnight release party? If not, you might want to consider it now that J-14 has confirmed exclusively that some of the cast members, including Rob, Kristen and Taylor, are going to be making surprise appearances at certain parties! OMG! How cool is that?!
Today is all about the extended scenes. The stuff that almost made the movie but got cut at the last minute. Let me tell you, these scenes are so amazing! There are five extended scenes. Each scene is introduced by director Catherine Hardwicke, who explains why the scene didn't make it into the movie. Here are my two favorite extended scenes:
My first favorite was an extension of the meadow scene, which was so beautiful and romantic. I'm the biggest Twilight fan, but I was a little disappointed with the meadow scene in the movie because it was my favorite part of the book! I was so excited to finally get to see more of my favorite couple ever, Bella and Edward, just being together in the beautiful meadow! It really made me wish Edward Cullen was real! Sigh.
Another scene I really liked was an extended version of Edward showing Bella his room for the first time. Did anyone else notice all the books next to his couch (no bed since he doesn't sleep!)? Well there are really about a hundred years worth of journals written by Edward! Unfortunately, we don't get to hear what's in them, but it was still really cool to hear about! I loved this scene because it shows how awkward and exciting it is to get to know your crush! We all go through that and it was awesome to see Bella and Edward do the same! Sometimes they really are just like us!
I didn't want to spoil all the extended scenes so I won't spill on the rest, but here are a few teases. One shows how Charlie feels about the Cullens in general and the other shows the bad vampires acting even more evil than we saw in the movie! It's weird that Cam Gigandet can be so scary yet so gorgeous at the same time!

Personally, I wish we got to see the lunchroom talks between Edward and Bella. They were so fun to read and we got to learn a lot about each character, like Edward's favorite animal to eat and Bella's favorite color, which of course was Topaz, the color of Edward's eyes! So cute!

I would want every detail and every conversation to be in the movie. It would be really long but it doesn't matter. Taylor, Kristen, or Robert PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE come to Rock Hill or Charlotte!!!!!!
omg! luved the movie but book is better............anywho i really wanted 2 c the part where like bella almost faints b/c of the blood in class and like edward saves her.....and....at the end when she is trying 2 leave and get away from alice and jasper i wish that took place in the airport like in the book!!!!!!

OMG!!! I can not wait to see it! ha ha lol I have read all the books but have not seen the movie! I am like so happy! I am going to wake up at like 5:00 so I can get to Walmart and buy it!

I read Twilight and I loved it! I also read New Moon and am almost done with Eclipse. I think it would be nice to have seen more of the lunchroom scenes in the movie too. I love how in the movie when Edward and Bella walked in together, everyone stared at them like what the heck are they doing together! I was also wondering about these midnight Twilight parties, where they are and how you can find out if one is in the area? Please reply to this if you know!

i would have loved to seen the part when bella faints from seeing blood in biology class. That was one of my favorite parts in the book.
i would haved loved to see the talking between bella and edward getting to each other and where bella faints in biology class from the blood and edward saves her. I can't wait till the dvd comes out i am going to get it at midnight.
I wish they made the meadow scene longer and not all smooshed together ... i really wanted to see the walk there because you kind of figured out what he could do (like his heightened senses)

They need to show more of Edward and Bellas Conversations. A lot of them are soooo Beautiful
in the meadow i thought that edward would be more shiny and in the movie when edward runs or jumps it is so fake and i think the book is better then the movie and should have put more stuff that was in the book in the movie and when bella tells edward that she knows hes a vampire i like it better in the book because bella says it dose not matter

but i would have really wanted to see the bonfire scene where jacob first tells her about the "cold ones" and the quiletes!! instaed of them just going to the beach! it wud have BEEN NICE TO INCLUDE JACOB MORE!!! ^_^

i am def. going to a dvd release party in Va at the HOTTOPIC in the spotsy mall in fredericksburg. i am so excited! i love the lunch room convos between edward and bella aswell in the book. and hw he was in the nurses office wit her when he was cutting class and bella was in biology doing an experiement wit blood. that was a cute scene 2! but the movie is still the best moviein the whole entire world. cnt wait to see all these beleted and extended scenes!!

I Have the movie and its sooooo awsome! I watched it like a billion times. I really wish the blood typeing part was in the movie. I also wish all the lunch scenes were in the movie. Like when Edward wanted to sit with Bella and not his brothers and sisters.
