J-14 recently down with Jupiter Rising, made up of Spencer Nezey and Jessie Payo to talk about their song being on The Hills, their most embarrassing moment and more!

J-14: How did your song end up on The Hills come about?
Jessie: We did My Super Sweet 16 which put us on TV and [MTV] found us through the kid whose party it was. He loved our songs so he made his own music video to "Electro Pop." We found it on MySpace and he did My Super Sweet 16 and thought it would be cool if we were there.

J-14: How would you describe your sound?
Jessie: It's electro-pop. So it's pop music with an electro vibe.

J-14:What's your favorite song to perform?
Jessie: I love "Over Again." It's fun because it's rock-pop and you can get gritty with it.
Spencer: There's such energy on the track. You can two-step on it!

J-14: What's been your most embarrassing moment on stage?
Jessie: I was in high school choir. I would dance a lot so I was front and center. I had a 30-second change from a solo song to a big group number and I run backstage and I'm changing my clothes into the next outfit and I run back out to the front. My back is facing the audience and my whole dress was stuck into the back of my nylons! I could hear the whole audience laughing. I still go back to my school and they're like, "You were the girl! You're the legend!"
Spencer: I was playing a show in New York and I chipped my tooth on the microphone. It was weird because I felt it and I just kept on going. I was like, "What the heck?" I turn around to my band and I was like, "I chipped my tooth," and I swear I could feel pieces of it in my mouth and I was spitting them out. No one noticed except for me and the people on stage.
