Matt Giraud, the 23-year-old from Kalamazoo, MI, was eliminated from American Idol tonight. Two weeks ago, the judges used their first ever "judges' save" to keep him in the competition, but after singing "My Funny Valentine" on Tuesday with celebrity mentor Jamie Foxx, America voted -- and Matt is out of the competition.
In an Idol shocker, popular contestant Adam Lambert was the other one in the bottom two. Kris Allen came in third, and Danny Gokey and Allison Iraheta had the top number of votes (whether Danny or Allison had more votes was not revealed).

I was so mad when I saw that Adam was in the bottom two. He deserves to win because he's the one that always brings the best performance week after week. I'm rooting for Adam, Kris, and Allison.
Matt is wise; to be seen by millions of people and to get the attention of music labels could strike him a big deal. Smart man, I say. Otherwise he'd have to do it the old fashioned way and work for fame (like many bands and artists, including The Band IceBloc and such).
