J-14 talked with singer/songwriter Angel Taylor, and she dished about her musical influences, being on tour, and more! Don't forget to visit her Myspace page and check her out!
J-14: Who are your biggest musical influences?
Angel: My first CD ever was John Mayer's Room For Squares. He's my absolute favorite!
J-14: What is your fave song off your album?
Angel: "Not Even Human." The song talks about a guy - he was going back and forth for a long time saying, "I don't know if I like you." It was wearing on me, so he said, "Okay, I like you." I was like, "Finally!" Then he went back and was like, "I don't know." It was so up and down. There was no way a person could physically do this to another person. I was really upset. That's the core of my music. For girls out there - no matter who you are - you've gotten your heart broken at one point or another. Know that there's hope, but at the same time you remember what he put you through!
J-14: What was touring with Adele like?
Angel: It was great to be with her and see how she did by herself and pinpoint different things that I should incorporate in my show. Her boy advice was very blunt, like, "Sometimes you just have to let them go."
J-14: Who would you like to collaborate with in the future?
Angel: My first answer is John Mayer, just because he's my favorite, but I think it would be great to work with someone totally different than me, like Tim McGraw.
