Twilight's coming to a TV near you -- sorta! The CW just announced their new shows for the fall and one of them is about vampires! The Vampire Diaries, based on the hit book series by L.J. Smith, is about two brothers, (Lost's Ian Somerhalder and Everwood's Paul Wesley), who are both obsessed with a beautiful girl, played by Degrassi: The Next Generation's Nina Dobrev. Hmm -- sounds a lot like Edward and Jacob fighting for Bella's heart, don'tcha think?!
And Ashlee Simpson-Wentz is coming back to TV! (Remember, she was on 7th Heaven!) Following the successful footsteps of 90210, The CW is remaking another classic '90s TV show, Melrose Place. (FYI: Grace's mom on The Secret Life of the American Teenager, Josie Bissett, was an original Melrose cast member!) Also in the show? Jesse McCartney's ex-GF, Katie Cassidy! And it's rumored that Ryan Eggold, who currently plays the teacher Mr. Matthews on 90210, will be a regular cast member!

first of all stephanie meyer had a dream TWILIGHT and made it a book . and also everyone is copying the ideas first that and then true blood no one is going to watch it. twilight is my absoloute favorite and i am just so mad

ok first of all the book series "the vampire diaries" did not copy off twilight. The series was written ten years ago by L.J Smith. Secondly, the author had been trying to get her book series into a tv show for a long while. You can go to her website ljsmith.net to check out out her blog. She mentions trying to get the book series into a tv show. So people stop hating on the vampire diaries, nothing is barely original anymore anyway. Twilight is definitely not the first book or movie about vampires. I am not although sure that the author should have allowed the CW network to change her series into a show. Tv is barely good or original anymore -_-
