Hannah Montana, who?! Disney just got the movie rights to the best selling book Wings by Aprilynne Pike -- and they're writing the script just for Miley!
Miley will play Laurel, a 15-year-old from a small town who was home schooled until high school. When she finally goes high school, not only does she have a hard time fitting in, but she feels like she's much different from the rest of the students. And sure enough, she is -- Laurel discovers she can grow wings and is actually fairy!
Miley sure is a luck girl. First Nicholas Sparks wrote her new flick The Last Song, which she is currently filming in Georgia, just for her, and now this!
Wings won't start filming until next year. After Mi wraps shooting The Last Song at the end of the summer, she's going on tour through the end of the fall. But no worries all you Hannah fans -- Miley and the gang have already signed on to do a fourth season! HM isn't going away anytime soon!

I think miley should be able to do movies and hannah montana if she wants too but if she wants to stop making movies that is her choice

Of course she'll get it. She gets whatever she wants. I think Demi, Sel, or Taylor Swift should play her instead. Miley has an entire TV show season and The Last Song. She's gonna a be a bit busy for another movie. Will she even have time for Nick?
I think its great that Miley is doing all these movies but i have a feeling disney is only making these script especially for her cuz they know that once she's threw with hannah montana they aren't gonna be making the same kind of money unless they get her to do something else with them. It's not like miley is going to say no to a movie where the script is being written just for her to play the lead.

I don't think miley would be good for the role because she's not that great of an actress. and if disney's making the script, they're just finding some way for people to like miley for awhile so they can make merchandise off whatever. she should stick to hannah and singing and get a better acting coach.
I think that Miley would be decent for the role of Laurel. It's a very good book, though, and if she couldn't get it right I'd be extremely disappointed.
But it also has to do with her second half, the person to play David.

I havent read wings but im glad that Miley is doing different movies besides Hannah Montanna because shes a teenager and shes maturing, so she wants to move on with her life and do something different.

That's right Miley, keep doing them kiddie movies. Only pre-teens would see this movie. I feel sorry for the author, having this moronic Disney girl playing her main character.
I have not read the book but I think if Miley does a better job on the movie than she does on Hannah Montana then maybe the movie will be good.I had a friend who was really bratty and acted like Hannah Montana and now im no longer friends with that person because of the way she acts. Hannah Montana puts a big impression on people and if you don't do it right, you could seriously mess up someones attitude. I think Miley is great at what she does but she should be a better role model for younger kids because thats mainly who she appeals too.(yes I am 13). I hope that some day Miley will change her ways and be a better role model for everyone that watches her. :)

I have read the book wings and i loved it! But i don't think Miley should play Laurel. She just does not seem right for the part at all. I think they should find someone else for the part.
