J-14 chatted exclusively to musician Steve Rushton who told us about his music, working on the set of Hannah Montana: The Movie, and what he really thought of 17 Again.

J-14: How did you first get interested in music?

Steve Rushton: I started playing guitar when I was about 7. Then I got into Green Day when I was about 12. I wanted to be a singer and a guitarist and write all of my songs just like Billy Joe [Armstrong] from Green Day.

J-14: What songs did you write for Hannah Montana: The Movie?

Steve: I came to the U.S. for Hannah Montana. "Game Over" is one of my songs in the movie and I wrote it when I was 17. And then I also wrote another song specifically for the movie called "Everything I Want."

J-14: Why do you think your song fit into Hannah Montana: The Movie so well?

Steve: I think it's because it's young and it has good energy. It sounds fun and that's what they wanted for the movie. It's not that far away from something that Hannah Montana would sing.

J-14: What was it like filming your scenes in Hannah Montana: The Movie?

Steve: It was so much fun! Miley was a lot of fun and we had a lot of laughs. There was a really good vibe on the set and it was good to hear my song blasted on the speakers on the Santa Monica Pier.

J-14: We also saw that you at the 17 Again premiere. What was that like?

Steve: It was good! It was a lot of fun! I really enjoyed the movie, it was really good. I didn't think it was going to be as good as it was -- Zac did a great job!
