Taylor Swift is gearing up for her very first MTV Video Music Awards performance this September 13 -- and it's going to be a show to remember! She'll be singing a never-before-heard version of "You Belong With Me."
"I'm so excited that MTV and the VMAs have invited me to perform because I think this year's show will be unlike anything they've ever done!" Taylor says. "I love incorporating theatrics into my performances, and the VMAs have always allowed artists to run with that. MTV has been so good to me, and I could not be more excited about this year's VMAs!"
Also joining the show are Brit rock band, Muse -- known for being Stephenie Meyer's inspiration for Twilight!
Muse's Matt Bellamy says, "We are honored to be invited to play at the VMAs which will be our first ever U.S. TV performance and the first ever U.S. performance of our debut single from our new album The Resistance coming out September 15th in the U.S., and of course another great excuse to hang out in New York City for a few days!"
And comedian Russell Brand will be back as the host with his crazy antics!

taylor has been my idol since 2005 when i heard her song on a sattalite radio. ive written songs for her, and i've wrote emails to her, i have posters of her and i almost bought a taylor (guitar) just because she has one and everytime she plays it sounds great.
