Two of your fave stars were big winners at the 2009 ALMA Awards in Los Angeles. David Archuleta took home the Year in Music's Rising Male Star award, while Selena Gomez nabbed a statue for the Year in Television Comedy Actress award. Selena had some big name competition, including America Ferrera and Salma Hayek, and she was definitely psyched about her big win.
It's been a big week for Selena -- last weekend, Wizards of Waverly Place won an Emmy for Outstanding Children's Program!

What an incredible young man! I saw him perform last nite and I have never seen such a talented young artist to be able to do pop, and sing in Spanish!!!! Wow! Can't wait to get his Christmas album in a couple of weeks!
I think Selena Gomez is an amazing actress and singer. I love her TV show, and Another Cinderella Story. She definetely deserved that award.

What's ALMA?
WHAT THE HECK?! They have the Black (African-American, as I prefer to say it) and Latino awards?! That's racist! You don't see the Asian or the caucasian or the European awards! Or the Native American awards! I don't even think BET OR ALMA should exist. People say caucasians are racist, but it's whoever invented these shows that are. I'm happy for Selens, but why isn't there Caucasian or Asian or even European Heritage Month?!
