Calling all Harry Potter fans -- all your dreams of apparating into the world of Hogwarts, Diagon Alley, and Hogsmeade can come true... in Florida!
Today the HP movies' fave bad boy Draco Malfoy, Tom Felton, made the big announcement: "Universal has given me the great honor in revealing to the world that the Wizarding World of Harry Potter will be opening its gates, spring 2010."
The park will be a new area inside Universal Orlando's Islands of Adventure park. Check out this video of a preview...

i heard about this place like a couple of months ago! Its going to be sooo coool! i cant wait to visit!! i have always wanted to actually go in Hogwarts! We might see the cast of Hp! lol

Oh my gosh, I can't wait! I'm the biggest HP fan in my school, and I can't meet someone without saying I love it. If you don't know my favourite book series (which caused me to spell favourite like that), then you're a stranger. I typed this up earlier in a comment on www.GivesMeHope.com: "Guess what?! In the new MuggleCast (180) they talked about Hershey Park when they were talking about the dragon challenge ride! I went on that in the rain, and I basically live in Hershey (I was born there and live in the next town over). That wooden rollercoaster that Eric (?) talked about was the Lightning Racer! He said it reminded him of the HP ride because you come so close to the other track. (There are two tracks where the carts race.) In the Universal one, it's Chinese Fireball against Hungarian Horntail. On the Lightning Racer, it's Lightning against Thunder in a race. Lightning is programmed to win, since the first hill is taller and the hills get smaller more quickly. Thunder can only win if it's let out of the station earlier. But, the Storm Runner is the best. How can you NOT like 0-82 miles per hour in less than one second?! The Fahrenheit (made last year) only goes 58 MPH, and even though it IS the steepest rollercoaster drop in the US (97 degrees), it's BORING! Bye! GMH!" There's only three planned rides so far, so that sucks. We're singing a Harry Potter song ("Double Trouble" from "Prisoner of Azkaban")! I can't wait! Come, Spring, come!
Guess what else?! I recgonized an HP article in EW magazine at the doctor's office (most of it was covered up) just by the top of Dan and Emma's head.

I would soo love to go there. Wait no, LIVE THERE!! So we can't visit Hogwarts? That's a BIG letdown. See, my family and I are HUMONGUS HP fans. I grew up reading and watching Harry Potter. It's all thanks to my sister. She ordered one of the HP books off of Scholastic and my family got hooked. But I was only a baby then. By age 7 I had read almost every HP book, except for the ones that weren't written yet. I almost cried when I found out Book 7 was the last book. I almost cried AGAIN when J.K. Rowling said she was probably gonna write another book-IN TEN YEARS!!! I'll be twenty then. I can't wait that long! Also, HP 6 movie was a BIG letdown. It sucked.
