yes models are to skinning the have bulimia and anorexia,Also the plus size models are considerd size 6 and up so imagine what image that is putting on young girls making them think they arnt beautiful because the arnt that skinny

yes, i think it's ridiculus how skinny they have to be. they have to purger, anorexic and pill themselve to death. it's not healthy to be stick skinny. most of the time it makes you sickly looking. and what if your like 4 pounds over the weight of a average model so what. why should you make your self sick just to fit into a size 0.

Models are way too skinny. they are pressured to look perfect. but they look like a stick! i wanted to be model when i grew up. i wanted to be skinny and guess what i got anorexia. its not healthy to be that skinny. its very unhealthy.

Too many people are being pressured to be skinny when they are fine the way they are. Im average for my height and some people would consider me normal, but in the fashion biz I would be considered fat. Weight standards shouldnt be pushed, being anorexic isnt a good thing!!
i think that models are people and shouldn't have to look that way just to be on the top. In reality no one looks like that. I don't. When most girls look in a mag they see tall, skinny, gorgeous girls! i don't wanna have to think on my mind that people are supposed to look like that. If you skinny don't make yourself that way love the curves that your born with. not every ones perfect.

I think girl are pressured a lot and they make models starve them selves. If everyone wears clothes shouldn't all people thin or fat be able to model them.
I think they are too skinny. Most people don't look like that and it make girls feel bad when they arn't that skinny! Someone needs to take those models to a near by McDonald, or something.

I don't think models look pretty this way. They look like freaks in my opinion! Walking skeletons! I like the natural looking models like in the seventeen magazine and this magazine. They look healthy, normal, and...pretty!

this skinny thing has got to stop. I mean, your weight shouldn't matter. If your beautiful and are pretty enough to be a model, than some weight limit shouldn't stop those people. and for lolchick12's comment: you go gurlfriend! they have no right to be picking on you. yes i think models are way too skinny now, i personally think its not healthy, and plus since they are too skinny, they dont have boobs, and i hate it when plus sized models are told they are fat..thats not true, if your beautiful and know how to model, size should not matter, AT ALL!

Its soooo unreal if they want to be skinny then they should but it makes other girls that arent stick thin feel uncomfortable and u should feel comfortable in ur own skin.

Models are most definitely too pressured. It's all the pressure that leads the models to feel like they need to be perfect, which pressures average teens to look like that also. that's probably the main reason that aneorexia and bulimia are around alot.
Yes they are pressured! That's why they are trying to look perfect but they have to control themselfs, I know it's not easy,but the boss of the runways have to do something...
I think that models shouldn't have to be that skinny. They represent the clothes people want to buy/wear, so models really should represent normal looking people, to let us imagine ourselves in the clothing. There are many people who aspire to be models who are super skinny, but still get told to loose weight. I think it is rediculous how that image is being put out, basically saying that that's what you're supposed to look like. It's ok to be a normal size. Not everyone has to look like a stick. I'm not saying its good to be obese, because that can affect your health, but you should be able to be comfortable in your own skin, and not have to look at skinny models and think, "oh i'm too fat" when in reality, no one looks like that. There should be a better representation of girls all over, not the superficial world they would like us to be in.

Models weren't alway size 0. Before the model Twigy models used to be sizes like 12. I think it would be a better image for girls if models went back to the older ways, because in my world BIG IS BEAUTIFUL!

i think it is so sick i mean they have these skiny modles and in mags they make them skinnyer. like no normal people can wear those clothes and its not really bad being skinny if yo uare healthy so i wight 95 pounds an d i a 14 i am tall and skinny but i am heathey too!!!

I think models are all beautiful the way they are. Some do loose weight so they can be as perfect as possible . i plan on being a model in the future and i hope that there won't be as much pressure to be perfect then.
There is nothing wrong with being skinny, but to say that someone HAS to look a certain way to be pretty is just wrong. And girls who are naturally skinny, well, you're lucky! But the girls who starve themselves in order to be something or to feel good about themselves, it's not worth it. You look the way you do for a reason. And, isn't bein too skinny just as nasty as bein overweight? They should use a variety of different looking girls as models so when young women see ads on tv or magazines, they dont feel insecure.
they are under a lot of pressure but they should not be soooooooooooooo overprotective of their healh they should be able to eat what they feel like and that does not mean to barf it all up afterwards
I think it is wrong because noone should HAVE to be skinny or HAVE to look perfect. Noone is perfect and modeling agencys have to deal with that because what they do to young girls that want to be models is wrong.

I think that there forst to be skinny but hey, if that's what they want to be (model) than that's their future, but i think that all of this self confident around the world that's involving girls through the ages 6-17 is a big problem and that's where they get it from the models i wanted to become a model but i knew i would never pull it off. and plus id rather a actual job that doesn't involve traveling. but what can i say they look gorgeous :D
YES these women are way too skinny now!! they are all victims!! their minds have been poisioned by the media...there are people who actually GLAMOURIZE skin and bones!! and in my opinion... these skinny bony models are kind of unattractive...their cheekbones are popping out like crazy!!and lots of these girls die from eating disorders caused by the pressure to be perfect and "on top of the world"

Models are way too skinny. they need to gain like ten to twenty pounds and then they would then look normal. they are also way too pressured into being skinny! they should just be themselves-chubby or skinny-
I think that models are skinny aren't attractive because they look to boney. They should just be themselves no matter what they look like. I mean they can still be skinny without look like a walking skeleton. Some are worse than others but I thinks its unhealthy and it doesn't look good either. But thats just my opinion. =D
