Unfortunately the rumors are true -- the band that started thanks to Hannah Montana is officially broken up. Miley Cyrus and Mitchel Musso's brothers Trace Cyrus and Mason Musso met on the set of their siblings Disney Channel show and starting rockin' out together in 2006... and ended up on the top of the charts with hits like "Shake It" and "California."
But today Miley's brother Trace verified on his Twitter, "The rumors are true. Unfortunetly Metro Station is no longer together. We had an amazing run, toured the world, and I loved every minute." He added, "Thank you to all the fans that have supported MS and I. You have changed my life. I promise I will always continue making music."
That doesn't mean it's the end of the music business for Trace. He'll still continue, now with his own music. He says, "I will be releasing my own music very soon. With a new band name. I'm excited for this new path in my life but sad to say bye to MS."
