Chace Crawford is literally following in Zac Efron's footsteps!
Chace signed up for the lead role in Footloose after Zac dropped out, and now Chace has suddenly backed out of the dancing re-make. There's no official word on why he will no longer take on the role, but word is the Gossip Girl shooting schedule was a major factor.
In addition to Zac, the original director, HSM's Kenny Ortega, also cut ties from the project a few months ago. One bright side? Country singer and former Dancing With The Stars' pro Julianne Hough is still signed on to the remake!
