Aaron Kelly has been keeping a huge secret, but now that he got voted off American Idol, he can share it -- Aaron was actually discovered at Walt Disney World!
But it was quite a process for him to get on Idol...
On February 18, 2009, Aaron tried his luck at the American Idol Experience attraction at Walt Disney World where people can audition for American Idol any time of the year. First, Idol hopefuls sing in front of Disney producers and then if the producers like you, you go through performance coaching sessions, cosmetology, stage rehearsals, and finally, you get to perform in front of a panel of judges and over 1,000 people. If the judges like you, you get to perform at the grand finale show. And finally, if you win the most votes at the finale, you get a "Dream Ticket," which essentially lets you cut the line and go straight to the judges at an upcoming American Idol audition. Phew!
After winning his "Dream Ticket," Aaron faced Simon Cowell and the rest of the AI judges at the Orlando auditions. And the rest is history!
