Make It or Break It is back with an all-new season starting this Monday at 10 p.m. and J-14 caught up with Josie Loren to get the exclusive scoop on what to expect this season, how she got discovered, and her special message to MIOBI fans!
J14: On the show, your character Kaylie seems to have so much boy drama. Is your real life like that?
Josie Loren: Kaylie definitely had a lot of boy drama, but the next 10 episodes are not boy heavy at all. It's a lot more focused on my gymnastics. In terms of me, I don't have a lot of boy drama because I broke up with my ex-boyfriend about a year and a half ago now. I feel like once you don't have a boyfriend, the boy drama goes down significantly because you're just a lot more independent. And I am dating. I've seen a couple people here and there. But everything is very, very casual for me because I don't have a lot of time to dedicate to anybody right now.
J14: Make It or Break It has such a strong fan base. What does that mean to you?
Josie: Just because it's the second season of Make It or Break It, the show would not be on air if it weren't for the fans. If we didn't have people watching season one, they would have cancelled our show and we definitely wouldn't be shooting season two or talking to you! So I just really want to take a second and thank the fans for all of their support and for putting us back on the air and letting us do what we love. We are so incredibly grateful to our fans and we love them and hopefully they'll love season two!
J14: How did you go from being a fan of acting to an actual movie and TV actress?
Josie: I fell in love with theater when I was 5 and that's kind of where it all started. Then the summer before my junior year of high school, my mom got word of this TV and film summer camp and asked me if I wanted to go, since I had nothing better to do that summer. I went and the guys that were running the camp were [secretly] looking for talent to sign, and they ended up signing me and brought me out to L.A. So I just basically got discovered in a summer camp!
Don't miss Make It or Break It's season two premiere airing Monday, June 28, at 10 p.m. on ABC Family!
