We were on hand as Katy Perry announced the exciting details about her first-ever perfume, Purr by Katy Perry, at the Andaz 5th Avenue Hotel in New York City last week. From the minute Katy walked into the room sporting her signature quirky style -- a body-hugging music note dress and a bright purple wig -- she seemed totally confident and relaxed standing in front of a room full of questioning beauty editors. She was so excited to talk about all the hard work she put into creating a fragrance, she even gave us a sneak peek ("No photos allowed!") at the top-secret bottle design -- it's shaped like a cat with a "purr" tag on it's collar. So cute!
After sniffing Purr, I think it might just be my new favorite when it debuts in November at Nordstrom stores and online. Flirty and sweet, Purr has hints of peach, jasmine, and freesia and I can definitely see it becoming a fresh new must-have winter fragrance.
