The Vampire Diaries left us on the edge of our seats last season with so many major cliffhangers. The fate of multiple characters is TBD tonight, so make sure you tune in!
Where we left off: The town council put an ancient vampire detection device into practice and captured a majority of the vampires -- including Damon and Anna. Stefan and Elena saved Damon, but Anna unfortunately got staked before a massive fire killed the others -- Mayor Lockwood included. Jeremy found out about Anna and drank the vial of blood she gave him before he took a bottle of pills. Will he die and become a vampire?
Matt, Tyler, and Caroline got into a car accident when Tyler had a reaction to the vampire detector. The paramedics came and noticed a freaky thing about his eyes, and almost missed poor Caroline laying passed out in the street. She was completely unresponsive and taken to the hospital. Will Caroline recover from the accident?
Later, Elena returned home and shared a kiss with Damon on her porch. But wait, it was actually Katherine. And she stabbed John (Elena's "uncle"/biological father). When the real Elena got home, she heard someone in the kitchen. Uhoh! Will Katherine and Elena finally meet?
What's next?: In a show where your favorite character could be here today and gone tomorrow, you never know what's going to happen. This season promises to be super suspenseful, thrilling, and chilling, so get ready for the ride!
