Between hosting his radio show Rollin' with Nick Cannon, acting as a Teen Nick ambassador, putting the finishing touches on his upcoming album, and playing around with one of his fave video games, DJ Hero 2, Nick Cannon has been a very busy guy! Nick recently spoke to J-14 about who he wants to battle in DJ Hero 2, which secret he's got on his pal Aaron Fresh, and why he challenged Eminem to a boxing match!
J-14: What is your favorite part about the game DJ Hero 2?
Nick Cannon: I like the head-to-head competition where you get to play with your friends because a lot of my friends are DJs or aspiring DJs, and everybody thinks they know music, so to actually show everybody that I'm better than them is real fun! I'm a huge troublemaker!
J-14: Who would you want to compete against in the ultimate DJ Hero battle?
Nick: My wife [Mariah Carey] cause she's good at this type of stuff. I've got to get her on it though. She bought me the first DJ Hero last year, so now I'm going to get her to play this one.
J-14: You play tons of new songs on your radio show, Rollin' with Nick Cannon. What music are you most excited about right now?
Nick: I like that new Rihanna and Drake song, "What's My Name?" I'm real excited about Kanye West's new music. A lot of stuff that's obviously already out, but B.o.B. has another hot record coming out, and Cee Lo Green's got some hot stuff. That's kind of where I'm at with the music game.
J-14: Are there any secrets you can tell us about your NCredible Entertainment artists and The Nightlife costar Aaron Fresh?
Nick: That he tries to lift weights, but it doesn't work out really well! But he's seventeen! He's into trying to better his body which is good. But tell him that I told him he needs to get his weight up and get in the gym!
J-14: Why did you decide to challenge Eminem to a boxing match?
Nick: Because I'm in the gym! Because of all the things that he said that were very slanderous and disrespectful. He came back and apologized and said it was just for entertainment. Then he kept saying stuff, and I was like, "Alright, well let's give them a different kind of entertainment. Let's settle it in the ring." I'm still waiting [to hear from Enimem about the match].
