J-14 caught up with True Jackson, VP's Robbie Amell to talk about the show, his crazy character Jimmy Madigan, and what it's really like to play Keke Palmer's love interest!
J-14: What has been your favorite episode of True Jackson, VP this season?
Robbie Amell: My favorite one to film was when Jimmy was trying his hand at stand up comedy. I'm a huge fan of watching it live and in videos but the second I heard I was doing stand up comedy [for the show], I was terrified. I had to keep myself from shaking, but it went great and was so much fun.
J-14: How has Jimmy changed since the first season?
Robbie: Jimmy gets crazier and crazier. He goes from being really sweet and bright to outrageous and pretty dumb. It's an adventure every week. It's fun to read the script and find out what I'm going to be doing, but I see it as who came up with the craziest idea for Jimmy each week. I try to bring parts of myself to Jimmy. There are little pieces of characters all over -- there is no set person with Jimmy.
J-14: What's next for Jimmy?
Robbie: More from True and Jimmy. At first I liked her but she didn't like me because there was a new guy, and then she liked me but I didn't like her because of a new girl. It looks like we finally get things on track, but maybe Uncle Max steps in the way or office policies. Hopefully things work out!
J-14: What's it been like to work with Keke Palmer, your love interest on the show?
Robbie: She is amazing, She is really sweet, down-to-earth and, when she needs to be, incredibly professional. She is super easy to be a love interest for because she is so fun on and off the set. She makes it easy to come to work everyday.
J-14: Who is your celeb crush?
Robbie: Mila Kunis!
