You know her as Maxine on Wizards of Waverly Place and from the movie Bridge to Terabithia, but now Bailee is acting alongside Adam Sandler and Jennifer Aniston in the comedy Just Go With It -- out tomorrow! J-14 did a photo shoot with Bailee and she gave us tons of scoop on her new movie, Wizards, and her thoughts on Justin and Selena.
J-14: How did you get into acting?
Bailee Madison: I got into acting because my mom and my sister did commercials, and when I was little, I did my first commercial with my mom. I tried out for my first film when I was about 5, which was Lonely Hearts with John Travolta, Jared Leto, and Salma Hayek, and then my second film was Bridge to Terabithia. I guess a lot of people saw it and were really excited by it.
J-14: What was it like working with Selena Gomez on Wizards of Waverly Place?
Bailee: She was like my big sister on and off the set. She was awesome and I learned so much from the entire cast. Selena just taught me so, so much.
J-14: What did you do to celebrate your birthday on set? Did you have a cake?
Bailee: They did, and the best part was that it was on a Friday night because every Friday we have a live audience at the taping, so they were able to sing happy birthday to me. This huge cake came out from Cold Stone Creamery and Polkadots' cupcakes, which was great. It was shaped like a lollipop with all these cupcakes. It was awesome!
J-14: What are your thoughts on Justin and Selena as a couple?
Bailee: I think if anyone's happy, then they're happy. That's their life, but I hope either way that they're happy. I got to meet Justin on the set [of Wizards]. So that was cool. He was very friendly. Very, very nice!
J-14: What are your goals for the future?
Bailee: I would love to start writing or producing or directing when I get older. It would be great to kind of be behind the camera for once. I would also like to get into a singing and dancing career, so hopefully I'll see myself performing on a stage.
