Last week, J-14 got a chance to check out the Girls Who Rock benefit concert, put on by the organization She's the First. Rocking out with artists like JoJo, Nicole and Natalie Albino of Nina Sky, Eddy, Nikki Jean, KimberlyNichole, and Heather Knight was exciting enough -- but to make the concert even more awesome, by the end of the night enough money was raised to send 42 girls in Uganda to school!
Before the concert, J-14 caught up with a few of the artists to hear all about what they were the first to do. Here's what they had to say:
Eddy: "I was the first in my family to have a mohawk!"
Heather Knight: "I'm the first to bring a robot comedian on stage."
Nina Sky's Natalie Albino: "We're the first twins in our family -- and I was the first to learn how to DJ in our family!"
Nikki Jean: "I was the first to write with all these songwriters on my record! No one else has had the opportunity to write with this combination of artists."
