It certainly had it's fair share of ups and downs, but the remake of Footloose is finally set to hit the big screen this October 14! First, the movie lost its original star Zac Efron, then Chace Crawford from Gossip Girl signed on before dropping out shortly after, and then director Kenny Ortega (High School Musical) left the fledgling project as well. One role that wasn't tossed around too much? Ariel, played by project mainstay Julianne Hough.

The man to fill Chace's dancing shoes is Kenny Wormald (Center Stage: Turn It Up), and from the looks of the newly released trailer, we approve! The plot of the film looks to be the same as the original, with Kenny's character falling for preachers daughter Ariel and fighting with her father over the small town's no-dancing law.
