J-14 Editor Blog: Letting your Animal out on the Get $leazy Tour

Hey J-14ers,

Last Friday I attended Ke$ha's Get $leazy tour in Holmdel, NJ with glitter all over my face and ready to rock. Though I missed the initial opener, I arrived just in time to see the main support, LMFAO take the stage. Regardless of the fact that it started torrential downpouring only minutes in to their set, that didn't stop the sea of people around me from going absolutely insane while LMFAO sang some of their hit singles including "Get Crazy," "I'm in Miami," and of course, the song of the summer, "Party Rock Anthem." With a set full of high energy numbers and incredible dancers, LMFAO was the perfect opener to get the crowd pumped and prepared for what they were about to witness.

After a short intermission while the new set was put in place, by the time Ke$ha came on stage, there was not one person who wasn't cheering on their feet for the "Tik-Tok" singer when she opened her set with "Sleazy." Though the high energy numbers were easily the most fun to dance and sing along to, it was the slower songs like "Animal" and "The Harold Song" that really showcased how much talent this girl has. Still one of the best numbers of the night was during her performance of "Blow'" when she triggered a glitter cannon to explode confetti all over the crowd.

All in all, I have to say that I've never had so much fun at a concert before. An enthusiastic audience always makes a concert so much better and to say just that very well may be an understatement. I'll leave you with four things that I learned at the Get $leazy tour:

1. LMFAO know how to get down, shuffle, and dance!
2. Ke$ha just wants to have fun -- like she says in "We R Who We R," "stop being so serious!"
3. You can never have enough glitter. I've never seen such a variety of people glistening with glitter from head to toe.
4. People can try and knock Ke$ha down with their words all they want, but she is who she is and she's not going to change for anyone.

Shuffle on,
