When Louis Tomlinson was spotted returning from a vacation in Nice, France with girlfriend, Eleanor Calder, engagement rumors began swirling! Eleanor was photographed wearing a ring on her left finger as the two departed from the airport. Fans took to Twitter to clear up the confusion -- and Eleanor responded that it was just a jewelry gift to herself and not an engagement ring! "It's just a flower ring that I bought from the market," she Tweeted.
And right around the same time, fans were worked up again when Liam Payne posted a photo to Instagram showing two hands clasped, accompanied by a caption that read, "I'm her's and she's mine forever. {big news coming up} :)." As it turns out, the entire Instagram account is a fake! "We are working on getting it taken down. [Liam] is not engaged," One Direction's rep stated. Fear not Liam fans, he's not engaged to long-time girlfriend, Danielle Peazer, just yet -- although the two have recently moved in together.
