Final Hunger Games Book to be Split Into Two Films

final-hunger-games-mockingjay-will-be-split-into-two-films.jpgThere's lots of Hunger Games action yet to hit the big screen! Lionsgate has recently announced that after the much-anticipated release of Catching Fire on November 22, 2012, the final book of the series will be split into two movies! The film franchise is following the leads of the 'Harry Potter' and 'Twilight' series, both of which featured a two-part film adaptation of their final books.

Mockingjay, Part 1 will hit theaters on November 21, 2014 -- but then fans will have to wait an entire year for the must-see blockbuster finale, Mockingjay, Part 2, which is set to be released on November 20, 2015!

In other Catching Fire news, Philip Seymour Hoffman has been cast to play new head gamemaster Plutarch Heavensbee, and Jena Malone has been offered the part of Johanna Mason, but hasn't officially accepted yet. The quest to cast the perfect Finnick Odair is still ongoing, but rumors are swirling about potential tributes: Taylor Kitsch, Garrett Hedlund, Zac Efron, and Alex Pettyfer, to name a few!

What do you think of Mockingjay being split into two movies? Which Hunger Games film are you most excited for? Who would you love to see play Finnick?
