Hey J-14 readers!
Back in November, we were lucky enough to spend two awesome days down in Baton Rouge, Louisiana to visit the set of the aca-awesome movie, Pitch Perfect, which tells the story of college a cappella group, The Bellas, and their quest to reclaim their national title.
J-14 spent almost 12 hours on set with the awesome cast, which includes stars Anna Kendrick and Brittany Snow, and newcomers like Rebel Wilson, Ester Dean, and (total cutie!) Skylar Astin. We saw them film both The Bellas' live mash-up, as well as The Treblemakers' (the rival group at their college) over-the-top, energetic performance.
We also got to spend some time with the cast behind-the-scenes during the filming at Southern University in Louisiana -- and find out all about their time on set (and how their real-life college and high-school experiences were similar or different to the crazy world of college a cappella competitions.) After grabbing some Southern home cooking for lunch -- think blackened catfish and mac and cheese -- we headed back to the school theater to talk with even more cast members.
