As 2012 draws to a close, the J-14 editors reflect back on our favorite songs from the year:

"Little Things" by One Direction
"A super-sweet track sung by 1D and written by Ed Sheeran -- what's not to love?" -- Editorial Associate Katie Amey

"We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" by Taylor Swift
"It's still stuck in my head and I don't think it will ever leave. Like ever." -- Photo Editor Danielle Kepler

"We Are Young" by fun.
"The band got it right -- that song's so much fun to sing at the top of your lungs!" -- Assistant Editor Laura Knipping

"What Makes You Beautiful" by One Direction
"So catchy!" -- Designer Tanya Swartz

"Call Me Maybe" by Carly Rae Jepsen
"Couldn't get the song out of my head -- and the music video is hilarious!" -- Photo Assistant Nicole Mazza

"I Knew You Were Trouble" by Taylor Swift
"I love that Taylor stepped out of her comfort zone on this rockin' track and added in dubstep elements. Plus, the rumor that it's about Harry Styles makes it even more intriguing." -- Deputy Editor Ashley Spencer

"One Thing" by One Direction
"It was love at first listen as soon as I heard 'One Thing' when I bought One Direction's album in London back in January. And it was love at first viewing when I saw the video celebrating the guys' British spirit (yes, even Irish Niall Horan seemed to be having a blast!). At one point, I hit 'replay' over and over so much that I had to give myself a 'One Thing' intervention." -- Editor-in-Chief Rachel Chang
