Where to see him: David broke onto the music scene after finishing in second place on American Idol. His first album peaked at number two on the Billboard 200 and now his second album, The Other Side of Down, is scheduled to be released on October 5.

Why we love him: He first caught our eye singing on the AI stage and now he's got girls all over the world swooning! His soulful sound and sweet personality are what makes him one of our favorites. Plus, he's super dedicated to giving back to the community and does tons of charity work. What more could a girl ask for?

He talks about... an embarrassing moment on stage: "I was to sing at this charity event dinner thing and I lost my voice that night and in the middle of the song I was struggling so bad and I just completely lost it. My mom came up and ran up and just grabbed the mike from me and finished the song for me and I was just like, 'I want to die.' I was so glad my mom was there!"

At last -- J-14's longtime favorite David Archuleta's music video is here for his new single, "Something 'Bout Love."

The album, called The Other Side of Down, was originally scheduled for release on September 14, but has been pushed back to October 5. Darn it, that's three extra weeks to wait -- but it's worth it for Archie!

David Archuleta just announced that his second album will be called Other Side of Down and will be released in stores and online on September 14! David's testing out a catchy new sound on the album's first single, "Something 'Bout Love," which will be available for download on July 20 -- the same date you can start pre-ordering Other Side of Down.

Following his performance on American Idol this week, David Archuleta chatted exclusively with J-14 about his new hairdo, Aaron Kelly, and who he thinks will win this season.

J-14: What was it like being back on the Idol stage?
David: It really freaked me out! My mind left when I was talking to Ryan. I thought through what I was going to say, but then my mind totally went blank. It was pretty bad. And It was scary having the judges there -- you feel like you're going to be judged too. But I was so glad to get to sing "Imagine" again. I haven't sung that song that much. I think I've performed it once out of all the tours I've ever done, and that's it.

J-14: Our readers have been tweeting about how much they like the new hairdo you debuted last night. Why the change?
David: I've always had it generally the same, so I just wanted to do something different this time. I feel like people always associate me with the same haircut all the time -- I want to show people that I'm in a new phase right now. It's a new time for me!

Season seven runner-up David Archuleta will be gracing the American Idol stage tonight performing his version of "Imagine." (Yep, the same song that won him praise when he was on Idol!)

Also on tonight's show -- Rihanna singing her song off Rated R, "Rockstar 101," and Jason Derulo performing "In My Head." Jason was actually discovered by Idol judge Kara Dioguardi!
