Demi Lovato takes on the role that made her famous as Mitchie Torres again in Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam. This time around, Mitchie's biggest concern isn't fitting in, it's saving Camp Rock from being closed down. J-14 chatted with Demi exclusively on the Canadian set where she revealed movie deets! Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam premieres tomorrow night at 8 p.m. ET on Disney Channel.

J-14: How is your character in different Camp Rock 2 versus the first Camp Rock?
Demi: Mitchie is definitely not as pure anymore. She's really just excited to be at the camp. She's basically in love.

J-14: Mitchie was uncomfortable the first movie. Is she more confident now?
Demi: This movie she's not insecure anymore so she's definitely more confident. We're kind of parallel. In the first movie we were a lot more alike because we were both growing up and now we found who we are. Mitchie's totally different than me, but in a way we kind of are the same.

When Demi Lovato blew the candles out on her cake at her concert on Tuesday in New Jersey, she said that she already had everything she wanted. So for her birthday she bought a house... for her parents! "For me to give [that] to my family on my birthday, that was the best present," Demi says.

Demi will also be living at the house and she's totally stoked about her new pad. "It's got pretty much everything you could possibly imagine in it," she says. "It's the most beautiful, homey-feeling house. I love it." The pool even has a water slide!

In other Demi birthday news, she celebrated her big 1-8 last night at the restaurant Buddakan in New York City with friends and family, including her sister Madison De La Garza and Joe and Nick Jonas. (Joe was spotted with his rumored new girlfriend Ashley Greene just hours before the party!)

Today marks a very special day! It's one of my favorite Disney star's 18th birthday -- Demi Lovato! That being said, I thought it'd be most fitting to write about her.

Demi has it all. She brings the noise in the singing department and is a very talented actress. In 2008, she had her first major role playing Mitchie Torres in the TV movie Camp Rock. Another thing that is so awesome about her is she was on Barney years ago. I loved that show when I was a kid. Haha.

In the past two years she has put out two albums that are both outstanding and after Camp Rock, Disney gave Demi her own series called Sonny With A Chance. It's hilarious -- you should watch it if you haven't yet. Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam premieres on the Disney Channel on September 3 and I couldn't be more stoked. I'm hoping it can top the original.

Currently she is on tour with the Jonas Brothers tearing it up every night. I've never seen her live before but in a couple of weeks I'm seeing her. I'm hoping I can meet her and get a picture! Fingers crossed. Until next time, keep it real!

Demi Lovato's life has been action packed this past year -- she released her second album Here We Go Again, headlined a solo tour, dated (and broke up) with Joe Jonas, and filmed Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam. The Camp Rock 2 premiere was Wednesday night, August 18, at Lincoln Center in New York City, and all of the CR2 girls got totally glammed up for the night and looked gorgeous.

Demi Lovato wore a white and silver sequined Edition by Georges Chakra mini and Everlon jewels, Alyson Stoner sported a blush colored BCBG dress, Anna Maria Perez de Tagle chose a strapless, structured floral print dress, and Meaghan Martin paired her LBD with a long chain necklace and drop earrings.

The Jonas Brothers and Demi Lovato's Camp Rock Tour kicked off on Saturday at the First Midwest Bank Amphitheatre in Tinley Park, IL. Here's a peek of what Demi does before hitting the stage:

As Joe Jonas and Demi Lovato kick off their summer tour on August 7 in Chicago, it can only be expected that things will be awkward between the exes, right? According to Joe, nothing is further from the truth.

"Demi has been a friend of mine for a long time," Joe said this morning on Ryan Seacrest's radio show. "I think that our friendship is so strong that it surpasses a lot of things and I think touring will be a lot of fun."

Joe also admits that the two, who crossed path at the VH1 Do Something Awards on Monday, are "trying to get together and hang out before we go on tour together."

Even if you can't be together, hold onto those memories that you shared and remember how you felt on top of the world!
