J-14 Editor Blog: Best 2011 InTune Moments

J142011InTuneEditorsGreysonChanceAllstarWeekendAlyssaRubino.jpg

J-14 rocked the Hard Rock Cafe in Times Square last night at our 2011 InTune Concert featuring Allstar Weekend, Greyson Chance, and Alyssa Rubino. Alyssa kicked off the show and got the crowd going with her songs like "Keep on Dancing." Greyson came on next and wowed his fans as he sang songs off his album Hold on 'Til the Night like "Unfriend You," and the song that made him famous, Lady Gaga's "Paparazzi." Allstar Weekend closed the show with their hits like "Not Your Birthday," "A Different Side of Me," and their new single "Blame It On September."

The J-14 editors (pictured above with the performers!) can't stop talking about the show. Here are our favorite moments:

"Greyson Chance signed a J-14 InTune Concert poster for us and wrote, 'To J-14, Thank you all for everything. I started everything with you. My fans and I think you for everything! Greyson.' Then he came over to the whole J-14 staff and thanked us for all of our hard work... awww! Every time I hang out with Greyson, I'm even more 'enchanted!'" --Editor-in-Chief Rachel Chang

"My favorite moment from last night was when Allstar Weekend covered Katy Perry's 'Last Friday Night (TGIF).' It's one of my favorite songs of the summer and Allstar Weekend gave such a high energy performance and killed it! They had everyone on their feet cheering and singing along." --Photo Assistant Nicole Mazza

"I loved watching Allstar Weekend's set. They had so much energy and even got the fans involved -- chatting with them between songs and giving out high-fives. They really rocked it!" -- Assistant Editor Rachel Sheehan

"I loved all of Greyson Chance's performance, but the highlight had to be when he sang his cover of Jay-Z and Alicia Keys' 'Empire State of Mind' (AMAZING!) -- and dedicated it to J-14 Editor-in-Chief Rachel Chang!" --Features Editor Ashley Spencer

"My favorite moment had to be when Alyssa Rubino performed 'Satellite.' She was so full of energy, and you could tell she was having a blast. Plus, her backup dancers had some crazy moves -- I was obsessed!" --Editorial Assistant Leigh Weingus

"As you can tell from the photo above, Allstar Weekend and I are BFFS -- look how Zach is giving me bunny ears! When we were taking the picture, I felt his arm above me and asked, 'Are you giving me bunny ears?' and he coyly said, 'No.' Boy, was I fooled! The guys love to goof around and you see that in their performance. They rocked the Hard Rock!" --Associate Editor Kim Messina

"I was backstage with Allstar Weekend right before they went on stage. They all stood in circle, put their hands in the middle, and did a cheer. Then as they were walking out on stage, Cameron realized his bass wasn't turned on and a had a moment of panic. Luckily, everything got fixed and he rocked out without any problems." --Photo Editor Danielle Kepler
