A few weeks ago, Hayley posted lyrics to a new song on Tumblr. She decided to let fans hear the melody and find out what she had been working on, so she posted the chorus online. "I didn't want to post the full thing yet because I don't want people thinking it's a new Paramore song," Hayley says. "This is just something I wrote for fun. Hope you likes!" Listen to the demo here.

In February, Paramore will hit the road on a South American tour. In the meantime, all three remaining band members, Hayley, guitarist Taylor York, and bassist Jeremy Davis, are working on writing and demoing new music.

What do you think of Hayley's new demo? Are you excited for new Paramore music?

Hayley Williams Speaks Out on Paramore Rumors

Paramore.jpg

It was supposed to be an amicable split, but the aftermath from Josh and Zac Farro leaving Paramore has been anything but friendly.

After Josh Farro released an exit statement revealing why he and his brother left the band, singer Hayley Williams, guitarist Taylor York, and bassist Jeremy Davis not only had to deal with the anger they were feeling from reading Josh's words, they were stuck denying rumors too.

To clear everything up, Paramore spoke to MTV News in their home state of Tennessee, where the three remaining members are working on a new album. "There's been a lot of things said online, especially in the past week, and it sucks... it sucks to read it, and it also sucks to know that responding isn't really going to help, online, because things travel so terribly on the Internet," Hayley says. "So we really wanted the opportunity to show our fans that we're OK, you know? The three of us are still here, we're not going anywhere."

Taylor admits that the Farros' statement was "a drag" to deal with. "Once we released our statement, we all knew they would probably release something," he says. "So I think we were all kind of bracing ourselves. Breakups are hard, and there's a lot of feelings so we kind of, in a way, we expected there to be something weird. So, yeah, it was really hard to read, just because it seemed like a lot of the stuff was pretty irrelevant to what happened. I think that was the weird thing, 'cause it just didn't seem really necessary."

Tune into MTV.com on Friday, January 7, at 4 p.m. ET to watch "Paramore: The Last Word," a live stream that will explore Paramore's past and their future.

Do you want to hear more about the split directly from Paramore? Will you watch their live stream on Friday?

Farro Brothers Reveal the Real Reasons They Left Paramore

JoshFarroZacFarroHayleyWilliams.jpg

This past weekend, Paramore's remaining members, singer Hayley Williams, bassist Jeremy Davis, guitarist Taylor York, released a statement telling fans that Josh and Zac Farro decided to leave the band.

The brothers just released their own statement on Josh's blog, admitting that they're not too happy about how things went down. In fact, Josh says he had a statement ready to, but Hayley put Paramore's statement up without his permission.

Josh explains that he and Zac started a garage band in high school that they asked Hayley to join. Hayley soon went off on her own to record solo demos, then asked the boys if she could use the song "Conspiracy" that they had all written together. Josh and Zac wound up re-joining the band, and eventually Hayley signed a contract on her own. "We didn't understand why Hayley was the only one signing the contract since we were told this was a 'band,' but we were too young to grasp all of this," Josh writes.

They rerecorded demos, the band toured for two and a half years, and Hayley's dad acted as their tour manager and van driver. "Her dad would constantly threaten to 'pull the plug' on the whole band if we complained about anything, suggesting that we were hired guns and Hayley was the real artist, when in reality we were also part of the band," Josh writes. "We've always been treated as less important than Hayley. It's been obvious how her family views things."

Josh claims the band grew further apart after releasing their albums Riot and brand new eyes, and touring was difficult because they couldn't agree on anything, and they finally decided to leave the band. "We truly feel that God is leading us elsewhere and is going to do great things with us," Josh says.

Two Paramore Members Leave the Band

Paramore.jpg

Paramore announced that two of the founding band members, brothers Josh and Zac Farro, are leaving the group.

READ IT: Paramore will take a break in 2011

In an official blog post, remaining members Hayley Williams, Jeremy Davis, and Taylor York, announced Josh and Zac's departure, saying they let the band know a couple of months ago that they would be leaving after Paramore's Orlando show.

"None of us were really shocked," Hayley, Jeremy, and Taylor wrote. "For the last year it hasn't seemed as if they wanted to be around anymore. We want Josh and Zac to do something that makes them happy and if that isn't here with us, then we support them finding happiness elsewhere. But we never for a second thought about leaving any of this behind. We really hope that you can be encouraged by the fact that the three of us who are still here are ready to take on another chapter of our journey together."

Shutting down any other rumors, Sunday night Hayley Tweeted, "Paramore is (still) a band."

Are you sad that Josh and Zac Farro are leaving Paramore? Do you think the band will be the same without them?

Paramore Will Take a Break in 2011

Paramore.jpg

Paramore is set to take a break in 2011, but don't worry, the band isn't breaking up.

2010 was such a huge year for the group that they 2011 will be a good time to calm down and recollect. "There's been so many big [highlights in 2010]," singer Hayley Williams says. "We got to play the VMAs, we went on the biggest US tour we've done to date, and we played two shows at the O2 Arena in London. It's just been one thing after another, this high climb, and I hope we get to keep climbing for a little bit longer."

After a tour in South America, the group will take time off from touring to start writing a new record. The band is psyched to get started on the follow up to their hit album brand new eyes in their homestate of Tennessee instead of trying to write on the road. "We like to do it at home," Hayley says. "We like to wait and really focus on the records when we have time off."

Hey J-14ers!

Last Friday, Z100 revealed that Katy Perry and Selena Gomez would both be performing at this year's Jingle Ball concert at Madison Square Garden in New York on December 10. But the rest of the show's lineup is technically being kept secret until the station's big announcement on October 25. However, Z100 gave away more than they bargained for by posting an image on their website showing silhouettes of all the performers. Little did they know, the J-14 editors would be up for the challenge and, after a little internet sleuthing, figured out almost the entire lineup!

J-14 Exclusive: Our Bamboozle Festival Diary

HayleyEmily.jpg

Hey J-14ers,

I had a major weekend -- I spent Saturday and Sunday at this year's Bamboozle Festival! I got to see some bands I've been obsessed with for years, like Paramore, Something Corporate (they reunited for three Bamboozle festivals and a greatest hits CD that will drop later this year), Saves The Day (classic Jersey pop-punk band represented in full-force!), Piebald, and Motion City Soundtrack, plus some of my current faves like Hey Monday, Every Avenue, Drake, and Artist Vs Poet. I also caught two new acts I'm excited to hear more from -- The Dig and Goodbye Friday.

ArtistVsPoetEmily.jpg

On Saturday I hung out backstage with Let's Get It, The Maine, Kicking Daisies, and Artist Vs Poet, and The Maine's Jared Monaco and Kennedy Brock told me they were stoked to play the festival again. "I'm really excited to hang out with all of our friends," Kennedy said. "We've got friends from everywhere in the country today, so it's a big family reunion." And the Let's Get It boys and Jared both told me they were psyched to see Drake perform. "It's really fun to have something new in the mix -- everybody goes crazy for it. They wait for that all day, and so are we," Jared explained. And they were in for a show -- despite being sick, Drake performed an extra-long set that included a drum solo and slow dancing!
