Selena Gomez is jumping on the vampire bandwagon! The star has signed on to voice Dracula's daughter in the new animated flick Hotel Transylvania -- a role that originally belonged to Miley Cyrus. "I really wanna work on my music this year," Miley Tweeted about why she dropped the part.
The flick follows Dracula (Adam Sandler), who operates a high-end resort away from the human world and begins to freak out when a boy discovers the place and falls for the Count's teenage daughter (Selena).
Hotel Transylvania is rumored to hit theaters later this year.
In January, Selena Gomez took time out of her schedule to visit 13-year-old fan Hana Hwang at the Children's Hospital Los Angeles, after Ryan Seacrest contacted the star and told her about Hana' "lifelong dream" to meet Selena. Hana has progeria, a rare fatal genetic syndrome where individuals exhibit premature aging symptoms. (The movie The Curious Case of Benjamin Button starring Brad Pitt is about a man with progeria.) Children affected by the disease age eight to 10 times faster than the average person and tend to not live past age 13. There is also no cure at this time.
After Selena's surprise, Hana posted a thank you video on the Children's Hospital Los Angeles' YouTube, which has more than 500,000 views:

Pretty Little Liars' Ashley Benson is leaving the Rosewood and joining Selena Gomez, Vanessa Hudgens, and James Franco in their new movie Spring Breakers. "I'm so excited to be joining the cast of Spring Breakers," Ashley Tweeted. "It's a very exciting project to be a part of. Thank you all for your support :)."
The movie follows four girls who rob a restaurant so they can pay for their spring break trip. After getting caught, a bad guy bails out the four girls, and in return for the favor, the girls are sent out on a crazy adventure to do some "dirty work" to repay him.
This may be the first time Ashley and Selena are officially working together, but the two are already tight -- Ashley is dating Justin Bieber's ex-swagger coach Ryan Good and the two couples recently vacationed in Mexico together with some friends.

Selena Gomez has reportedly purchased the rights to develop the novel The Sky is Everywhere into a movie. Selena would not only play the lead character, Lennie Walker, a teen band geek dealing with life and love after the death of her older sister, but she would also act as producer on the film.
Selena has recently announced plans to focus more on her acting career saying, "I'm gonna do my South America tour, which I'm excited about and then I'm gonna take a little break from music and do two films, which will probably take up most of my year."

It's been a while since Maria and Selena have seen each other since Wizards has wrapped production and the finale aired on January 6. "Wizards was so important to me and I'm so happy so many of you watched the series come to an end," Selena says. "I loved the whole experience and I'm so grateful for it. I love you guys! I hope to continue to do more things you guys enjoy watching!"
Selena Gomez took her fans by surprise when she posted these photos on Twitter of her new colorful hair 'do. "Change is good," Selena says about the edgy purple and blue streaks she added to her normally dark hair.
So are the bursts of color here to stay? Sorta. The purple and blue streaks are actually hair extensions, so Selena can take them out when she wants, instead of having to re-dye her locks.

Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber just vacationed in Los Cabos, Mexico, with their friends Pretty Little Liars' Ashley Benson, Ryan Good (Justin's former "Swagger Coach"), Secret Life's Francia Raisa, and Ashley Cook (Selena's friend and the younger sister of Forever The Sickest Kids' Jonathan Cook). Justin posted this sweet vacay photo of the couple giggling on Instagram, saying, "2 much fun."

Selena Gomez can breath a sigh of relief. The actress was just grated a restraining order against Thomas Brodnicki, a man who previously threatened to kill her and left Selena in "extreme fear."
Thomas has to now to stay at least 100 yards away from Selena and her family for the next three years. Thomas did not dispute the order, saying, "I know it is the only thing that will make me stay away from Selena."
