Harry Styles may have a lot of practice being on stage after performing with One Direction for four years, but he suffered from major stage fright! The singer poked fun at his phobia while filming the band's holiday special, joking that he had to leave the stage because he was too scared to continue.

During their X Factor days, Harry got the worst stage fright — even sometimes throwing up before they performed.

"He went through a period of throwing up before he went on stage," Zayn Malik revealed.

Taylor Swift

Even though she's one of the biggest pop stars around, Taylor still gets stage fright when she's not sure if the crowd will love her or hate her.

"I do [get nervous]. But only if I'm not sure what the audience thinks of me, like at award shows," she said in 2011. "I never look down at the front row! My hero watching me equals nerves!"

"I'm super anxious before these kinds of things because it's so nerve wracking," she revealed.

The "Firework" singer gets nervous before performances — but it's only because she's worried her fans will freak her out on stage.

"I still feel nervous performing to crowds. It's not that I don't feel ready but I worry that they'll rush the stage as they're all screaming my name or I feel like a wanna yack!" she said in 2010.

She may be a total beast on stage, but the "Royals" singer says her biggest fear is performing in front of a crowd.

"Before I go onstage I lock into this period of the most crippling fear," she said. "It's something I wouldn't wish on someone that I hated…It's the worst half-hour of my life, every night! But then, y'know, it gets replaced by something magic."

Though Ellie says that she doesn't have bad stage fright anymore, the "Lights" singer says she used to be "paralyzed" by how nervous she was.

"I use to get really paralyzed by nervousness. It wouldn’t be good for my performance," she revealed.

Bridgit gets nervous about forgetting the words to all her songs when she's singing!

"I definitely get nervous about if I'm going to forget the words to the songs or something," she said. "And I don't enjoy being the center of attention for, like, an hour straight; I think that's really stressful."

The singer spilled that she experienced major stage fright before performing at the 2012 MTV VMAs.

“I’m really nervous to perform because there’s going to be a lot of celebrities walking the red carpet at the same time that I come out and perform," she said at the time. "So not only do I want to do a good job because it’s on camera, but also there’s people that I really admire on the red carpet."

She says that she even listens to Nicki Minaj before going on stage to help her cope!

With one of the most powerful voices around, you wouldn't expect the "Someone Like You" singer to get scared before singing for a crowd — but she says she totally freaks out.

"I'm scared of audiences," she told Rolling Stone. "One show in Amsterdam, I was so nervous I escaped out the fire exit. I've thrown up a couple of times. Once in Brussels, I projectile-vomited on someone. I just gotta bear it. But I don't like touring. I have anxiety attacks a lot."
