It's horrible that celebrities still have to go through scary stalking situations. Recently, news broke that a man who was stalking Katy Perry was arrested after following her all around the country in an attempt to meet her. No one, famous or not, should have to go through that!

For instance, after years of being harassed and followed by an obsessed fan, Taylor Swift had to put a restraining order against him. The stalker sent her countless emails and letters and even claims to be her husband. Talk about creepy! Katy and Taylor are not the only celebrity who has had a seriously scary stalker. A 37-year-old man from Poland was arrested for following Katy all over the United States to try to meet her. According to police reports, he hid in a stairwell at her hotel in Miami in an attempt to go backstage. "He says he's going to do whatever it takes to be with Katy Perry. He follows this woman all around the country," the police report read. "[He] followed her into a restaurant, where was it, in Tampa, he goes to a hotel and hides in the stairwell, he goes towards the stage area, the restricted area at the triple-A arena. That's a little more than going to a concert." Terrifying.

Rihanna

RiRi had a restraining order put on Jonathan Whooper after he threw a chair through her window, broke into her house, and claimed to be her future husband…and that wasn't even the first time he was at her house! According to Rihanna, the man made her feel concerned for her personal safety.

Mark McLeod was arrested after he continued following Miley even after he was warned by police to stay away from her. The 53 year old would wait for the singer outside of her movie sets and claimed to be engaged to her.

Liam was a bit shaken up after a group of girls waited outside his house for him to come home. They tried to get him to come out at night and even slid letters under the door.

Liam tweeted about the scary experience, writing, "hi i just wanna say i love you guys and all bt having strangers knock on my door and notes pushed through at 11 pm can be a little bit scary. i know you guys would feel the same about people knocking on your door you don't know so please don't come to my address much love liamxx."

Ashley's stalker Nicholas Fiore landed himself in jail after ignoring police orders to stay away from the High School Musical star. He genuinely scared Ashley after tweeting her over 18,000 messages that included death threats.

A few Christmases ago, a mom and her daughters showed up at Josh's house. "They watched me through the window and said, 'We were waiting for you to finish eating.' So they were polite stalkers!" Josh revealed.

Han Cong wasn't sure how to get in touch with Jennifer so he obsessively called her brother and sent scary emails. In one of them he wrote, "I wouldn't kill anyone for sure, but I would scare them enough with real things happening around their life to make sure that they get it."

He also went to Jennifer's hometown and attempted to find out where her mom lives. The police eventually found him and he was deported back to Canada.

In March 2013, Mark Staake and his nephew Tanner Ruane were arrested after stalking Justin. According to reports, they were working under the instructions of Dana Martin, a 45-year-old man who's in jail. Dana is so obsessed with the pop star that he has a tattoo of Justin's face on his leg.

Cher was constantly harassed by one obsessed fan until one day she totally snapped. According to a friend of the singer, the crazed fan was relentless and continued to find Cher's secret hiding spots. One day, Cher panicked and ran for her life.

"Cher was so frightened she started banging on a back door and screaming to be let back in," they said.
