It's been exactly one month since Liam Payne and Cheryl Cole welcomed their son into the world and One Direction fans have been patiently waiting to hear what moniker they've dubbed their first born son.

Now, according to reports, the babe still doesn't have a name and the couple only has until May 3rd to do so. There's apparently a law in England and Wales that states that if you do not give your child a name 42 days after the birth then it will not be legally acknowledged. So, this is some pretty serious stuff, to say the least.

Not only that but because Liam and Cheryl aren't married they can't register the baby without both of them being present. If one of the parents is not present while registering the child then that parent will not have their personal information included on the birth certificate. Again, this is some pretty serious stuff.

Liam and Cheryl or their reps have yet to confirm if this is true or not – the fact that their baby is still without a name. Of course, Liam and Cheryl must know the laws of where they live and it's honestly possible that they just haven't told the public what they decided to name their child. It's possible that all of this could have been done already and they've been calling their son a certain name for weeks now yet they just didn't want to share it with the rest of the world.

That's all possible because Cheryl didn't even verbally confirm she was expecting or having a child until after she gave birth. They are super private and not revealing the name may just be something else they are trying to keep sacred for the sake of their family.

Cheryl has said in a past interview that she likes the name, Alfie. "Of course I've thought about baby names a million times. I like Alfie for a little boy."

However, during a 1D interview way back when Liam revealed that he loves the name Taylor! He said, "Taylor's pretty neutral for a boy or a girl. That's what I’m going to call my first child if I had children."

Of course, Liam could have wanted the baby to truly follow in his footsteps and call him Liam Jr. Do you Cheryl would go for it? This is all speculation and our fingers are crossed that Liam and Cheryl decide to share their baby's name sooner rather than later.

Hey, guys…May 3rd will be here before you know it!
