Kristen Stewart just made a huge statement and she did it confident AF.

The Twilight star hosted Saturday Night Live over the weekend and referred to herself as gay for the first time ever. Kristen had a super public relationship with her Twilight co-star, Robert Pattinson. However, ever since then she has publicly dated women. While Kristen has never said that she was gay, fans thought it was safe to assume that she was bisexual because she had a dating history of men and women.

Because of everything that has happened in our country regarding the LGBTQ community, it seems like it hasn't been necessary for Kristen to officially come out to the public. These terms, gay or lesbian, are no longer taboo. Marriage equality is a real thing.

Of course, Kristen has opened up about her girlfriends but a label on her own sexuality was never at the forefront of any discussion. She talked about how much her girlfriends have inspired her to be more open with her fans about love and she's talked about how her girlfriends have become her best friends.

It was only last week that Kristen was seen out and about with her current lady love, Stella Maxwell. So what happened on Saturday Night Live that changed everything? During her opening monolog, she talked about how President Trump has tweeted at her multiple times in the past. All of these tweets had to do with her cheating on R. Patz. Well, Kristen came back with the greatest line ever.

She said, "And Donald, if you didn't like me then, then you're really probably not going to like me now because I'm hosting SNL and I'm like so gay, dude."

Bravo, Kristen! She really has come a long way since her R. Patz dating days. Those two were notoriously private. But, it seems like ever since Kristen has really started to get in touch with her own sexuality and be open about her relationships, she is in a much happier place!
