They're dunzo! The Vampire Diaries couple Paul Wesley and Phoebe Tonkin have reportedly called it quits after 4 years of dating. While the pair hasn't issued a statement about the split, there are several clues that prove this to be true.
Phoebe has been seen out and about without the promise ring that Paul once gave her. They weren't engaged, but they had been super serious about their life together and their future. While it could be a coincidence that she's not wearing the ring, it's rare that she was ever seen without it before. Also, Phoebe has recently deleted photos of her and Paul off of her social media pages. Andddd you know what that means – the couple is headed for or already in splitsville!
A source told E! News, "They are still good friends. The relationship just ran its course."
Another source told Us Weekly that the pair who used to live together are now living separately. Not only that but another source seemed to confirm the split. This insider claimed, "They definitely broke up."
This is so sad! The pair met on the set of The Vampire Diaries back in 2012 and started dating the following summer. They were inseparable ever since. That is, until now. The pair hasn't been spotted together reportedly since December 20, 2017, where they were visiting Phoebe's family in Sydney, Australia for the holidays.
There's been no real reason for their break up just yet. Fans actually caught Paul in Toronto, Canada recently as he prepares to direct an upcoming episode of Shadowhunters. Phoebe was last seen in Paris for Fashion Week. It's possible their schedules just made it too difficult to stay together.
Whatever it is, this is pretty tragic. Being in a relationship with someone for 4 years means that it wasn't just a fling and they had real love for each other. Hopefully, they really can remain friends and move past this in the most painless way possible. We wish both of them the best at what can only be a very difficult time.
