A huge congratulations is in order for Teen Wolf star Colton Haynes who just announced on Instagram that he is officially engaged to his boyfriend Jeff Leatham! The pair went public with their relationship just one month ago, but it seems like they have probably been dating for longer than that.
This is super exciting and the proposal was seriously something out of a movie. There were candles, fireworks, a message from the legend Cher and rose petals all set on a beach. Can you even think of something better than this?? Jeff seriously outdid himself and the photos are incredible.
Just when we thought Jeff and Colton's love couldn't get any deeper – it did.
Colton posted a series of photos on Instagram that captured the whole thing. He shared this one and wrote, "I SAID YES!!! ??❤️ @jeffleatham."
Colton then went on to post another and thank his family, friends, and fans for all of the love and support they have given him. He captioned this photo, "Overwhelmed by all of the love & support y'all have been sending @jeffleatham & I on our engagement. The fact that so many people love love as much as we do is truly inspiring and I feel so humbled. Who woulda thought that a lil ole kansas boy would meet a country boy from Utah & embark on journey that truly feels like on in the movies? I wish the same for everyone out there. No matter who you love…don't be afraid to love hard 🙂 #whatmoviesaremadeof #LoveWins ❤️?❤️???."
Aww! Not to mention, his new engagement bling is incredible. Colton didn't share a photo himself, but his best friend, Ally Maki, posted a candid shot on her Instagram. It seems like Colton FaceTimed her to share the good news right after Jeff proposed. If fans look closely, they can see the happy tears in his eyes and the serious shine coming from the diamond eternity band. Oh yeah, and his million dollar smile!
What a stunner! The ring is amazing and it's great to see Colton so happy. The actor has opened up in the past about the struggle he had with his sexuality. Not only did he have to lie about being gay, but he always felt like he was acting, even when he wasn't on screen.
In a previous interview with Entertainment Weekly, he said, "It was a complete shock. I wasn’t ready to be back in the headlines. I should have made a comment or a statement, but I just wasn’t ready. I didn’t feel like I owed anyone anything. I think in due time, everyone has to make those decisions when they’re ready, and I wasn’t yet. But I felt like I was letting people down by not coming forward with the rest of what I should have said."
He continued.,"People want you to be that GQ image that you put out, but people don’t realize what it’s like to act 24 hours a day. I’d go home and I was still acting. People who are so judgmental about those who are gay or different don’t realize that acting 24 hours a day is the most exhausting thing in the world."
One thing is for sure, he's not acting now! Colton is being true to himself and found love in a way that he won't have to hide. And really, that's all that matters. Let the wedding planning begin!
