The Beyhive has been buzzing lately after Beyonce granted a wish for one of her biggest fans who was battling a rare form of cancer throughout her entire senior year of high school. Just four days after Bey FaceTimed Ebony Banks from Houston, Texas, she passed away. The story has literally gone viral and for good reason. Ebony was a brave young woman and her friends knew what she had been through. It was their efforts on social media that got the attention of Beyonce.

Ebony's peers and the surrounding community started the hashtag #EBONYMEETSBEYONCE and it actually worked!

Karina Gutierrez, a sophomore at Ebony's high school, said, "Beyonce is one of her idols. She admires her so much, so we’re trying to put that on Twitter and Instagram to get Beyonce’s attention." It was really everyone that came together as a team to help Ebony talk to Beyonce in her last days on Earth.

It's being reported that while they were on FaceTime Beyonce told Ebony that she loved her which we can only imagine made her feel incredible.

Because there wasn't a guarantee that Ebony would live until graduation at the end of the school year, she was presented with her diploma early. Her graduation present was the school and the community's efforts to get Beyonce on the line. Of course, that is no easy feat but it was done and it was done just in time.

The school's Twitter account tweeted back in mid-March, "Congratulations to our first graduate of 2017!"

Sadly, Ebony chatted with Beyonce on a Wednesday and by Sunday she had passed away. This story is seriously tragic but it warms our hearts to think that Beyonce cleared her schedule that quickly to grant Ebony's one last wish.

Another tweet was sent out after a candlelit vigil was held in Ebony's honor. The message read, "Sights from tonight's vigil for @AliefHastingsHS student Ebony Banks."

It's being reported that during the candlelit vigil, Beyonce's song, "Halo" was playing. We have a feeling this is exactly what Ebony would have wanted. Our thoughts and prayers go out to all of Ebony's family, friends, and peers.

Beyonce has yet to comment on Ebony's death.
