Music is the universal language that brings everyone together, and it even has the power to reunite two Disney Channel queens. The 2017 Billboard Music Awards was co-hosted by none other than Vanessa Hudgens and Miley Cyrus hit the stage to perform her new single "Malibu," so of course everyone was waiting to see if these two starlets would you know, catch up for old time's sake. Well, yes they did and it was literally the cutest.
In-between V doing her hosting duties, she and Miley saw each other, and had the cutest reunion.
Seriously, how adorable are they?
They've known each other since 2006, more than decade of friendship between them, since that was the year they were first emerging on Disney Channel with their respective hits, High School Musical and Hannah Montana.
Gabriella Montez and Miley Stewart back in action. This is all too much. It's always super cool to see starlets supporting each other, especially when they've known each other for so many years and both emerged from Disney Channel into mega stars since then.
Miley isn't the only former DC star V is still super close with. She, of course, is still the best of friends with her HSM co-star Ashley Tisdale, who presented at the BBMAs. When she was chatting with E News on the red carpet, Vanessa was asked to spill which of her memories over the years with Ash is her fave and of course it had to do with their peak HSM days.
"Probably just fly around the entire world with her. I mean, we were on our High School Musical press tour, and being in a G-5 we're, like, 'I'm going to have a G-5 one day and I'm going to cover it in Louis Vuitton print and it's going to be gorgeous,'" Vanessa said. "Her wedding was pretty amazing as well."
HOW PRECIOUS. Although Vanessa admitted she doesn't speak to the Troy to her Gabriella — Zac Efron — anymore since you know, they did date for quite some time, Ashley, on the other hand, is still friends with Z too, and she told E News just how happy she is for the former couple's many successes.
"He's like a brother, I still remember him with his space in his teeth! It's Zac, I'm so proud of him and I can't wait to see the movie, I'm sure it's going to be really good," Ashley said referring to Zac's upcoming role in Baywatch. And for Vanessa? Ash admitted she has all the love for her bestie too.
"I'm so proud of her," she simply said.
Disney Channel fam for life.
