From 2004 to 2007, Drake and Josh was a Nickelodeon staple starring Drake Bell and Josh Peck. While the show has since come to an end, the cast is still closer than ever. In fact, some of them still work together.
It’s no secret that Miranda Cosgrove and Jerry Trainor went on to play Carly and Spencer Shay in iCarly from 2007 to 2012, but when the show was revived in 2021, Josh joined the cast.
“It really felt like a good full circle moment because when I was 8 years old, the first thing I ever did was Drake and Josh. I got to be on Josh’s show, and then, having Josh — now that we’re adults on my show — that just felt kind of awesome. I love him,” Miranda told J-14 exclusively in June 2022. “So, to have him play Carly’s manager was just really fun. … I just love him and his family and he’s like one of those people I’ve pretty much known my entire life and I’m just like really happy that I have him.”
While he was only in a few episodes of the show, the iCarly cast would love to have the Turner & Hooch alum back for more — especially because it was such an “awesome” experience.
Not every Drake and Josh alum has gotten a guest-starring spot on iCarly thus far. However, some of the former Nickelodeon stars still love gushing over their time on the show’s set. Drake, for one, told HollywoodLife in February 2019 that it was a “great time” being a Drake and Josh cast member.
“I was going through my adolescence and my teen years and, obviously, there were times on the show when I was dealing with everything that a teenager deals with, and yeah, it was kind of difficult to get up early in the morning and have the responsibility of an entire cast and crew, and everybody … there were our ups and downs about it, but man, I’d go back in a second,” he shared at the time. “There was something special about the show. I am in touch with everybody on the show!”
