The nominations for the 2017 Billboard Music Awards are in and some of your favorite stars are in the running to take home an award this year. Drake, Twenty One Pilots and Rihanna are leading the pack of nominees with four nominations each in different categories, while Ariana Grande, Shawn Mendes and Bruno Mars are nominated as well for their gigantic contributions to music in the past year.
Out of all these successful artists, who are the ones that will win big on one of music's biggest nights? Fans will find out who on the night of the awards but here are our predictions on who will take home the awards for the 2017 Billboard Music Awards.
Check out the list of nominations below and see who we think will take the award in each category:
The Top Billboard 200 Album
Beyoncé, Lemonade
Drake, Views
Rihanna, Anti
Twenty One Pilots, Blurryface
The Weeknd, Starboy.
Though the categories usually are based on sales and popularity, which might have made Views the obvious winner, Beyoncé will most likely take home the award.
Top Artist
Adele
Beyoncé
Justin Bieber
The Chainsmokers
Drake
Ariana Grande
Shawn Mendes
Rihanna
Twenty One Pilots
The Weeknd.
Justin has had quite the year, but who else can take this Top Artist award home than the record-breaking Adele? No one. So say hello to the winner.
The Top Hot 100 Song
The Chainsmokers feat. Halsey, "Closer"
The Chainsmokers feat. Daya, "Don't Let Me Down"
Drake feat. WizKid & Kyla, "One Dance"
Justin Timberlake "Can't Stop the Feeling!"
Twenty One Pilots, "Heathens."
Could you go anywhere on this planet and not hear "Closer"? Absolutely not, so this is the obvious win.
Top Female Artist
Adele
Beyoncé
Ariana Grande
Rihanna
Sia
Though Ariana slayed with "Side to Side," Adele will most likely take this award as well.
Top Male Artist
Justin Bieber
Drake
Future
Shawn Mendes
The Weeknd
Justin had such a successful tour with Purpose, that he will most likely walk away with the trophy if he goes to the show.
The Top R&B Song
Rihanna, "Needed Me"
Rihanna ft. Drake, "Work"
Drake ft. WizKid & Kyla, "One Dance"
Bruno Mars, "24K Magic"
The Weeknd ft. Daft Punk, "Starboy."
This one is a tough one. While "Work" was also everywhere last year, it was also hard to avoid "One Dance." So Drake might be the one to take home the trophy either way.
The 2017 Billboard Music Awards will air on Sunday, May 21 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC live from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
