The Wanted's fans were convinced their favorite band made their own decision to break up, but it turns out that definitely wasn't the case. It's being reported that the guys' record label were the ones that forced them to go their separate ways after being together since 2009.

According to Gossip Cop's source, since it's so expensive to keep a boy band going, their label, Universal Music, pulled the plug and ended their careers as a group. They might have said they wanted to pursue separate careers, but it looks like they never even had a choice in the matter.

Even though Universal Music ditched them, Scooter Braun is still their manager and is "standing by the boys" if they decide to get back together later on.
