One of the best things about summer is getting to watch new seasons of great summer TV shows. And one of the best shows of the season? Oxygen's 'The Glee Project'! If you watch 'Glee', you're definitely familiar with Damien McGinty and Samuel Larsen, 'The Glee Project''s winners from season one. Well, now producer Ryan Murphy has recruited a whole new batch of some of the nation's most talented young singers, actors, and dancers to compete for a guest role on Glee.
We'll admit that we're more than a little obsessed with 'The Glee Project', and here are our top reason's why you should jump on the 'TGP' train too:
1. Revealing Behind-the-Scenes Secrets The Glee Project really lets you see what it's like to record in a music studio, rehearse for a dance number, and film a music video. It's like an all-access look at what life in Hollywood is really like!
2. Cute Boys We're still swooning over season one's Samuel Larsen and Cameron Mitchell, but we've also made room in our hearts for this summer's breakout dreamy contestant --Â 19-year-old Blake Jenner!
3. Awesome Covers Just like 'Glee', each week 'The Glee Project' features amazing covers of some of today's biggest hits. Check out a sneak peek of episode five's music video cover of Jessie J's "Price Tag":
4. Real Stories Unlike other reality shows that feature a slew of cookie-cutter contestants, 'The Glee Project' is all about showcasing unique individuals' talents. Contenders like Mario (who's blind), Tyler (who's transgender), and Ali (who's in wheelchair) inspire us each week and prove that anyone can be a star if they work hard and dream big.
Be sure to tune in to The Glee Project Tuesday nights at 10 p.m. on Oxygen!
