The holiday season is upon us which means Christmas is just weeks away. We have a feeling you've already started jamming out to your favorite tracks but we decided to create a definitive ranking of the best Christmas songs out there. Everyone from Justin Bieber to Mariah Carey to Bruce Springsteen were considered. We've got old school classics that made the list as well as the more modernized Christmas tunes. Just because they are ranked, though, doesn't mean they all wouldn't make perfect additions to your Christmas playlist. So, if you have a holiday party in your future, take note. These songs are about to get the crowd LIT.

1. "Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays" by *NSYNC

This is legendary. It's iconic. There's just no way it wouldn't have made the top of the list. 90's N'Sync was everything. Mix that in with a little holiday cheer and you've got yourself a recipe for perfection. To be honest, I sometimes listen to this in the middle of the summer and I have no shame so don't @ me.

2. "Santa Claus Is Comin' to Town" by Bruce Springsteen

Brucey babe! This is a real old-school classic that is so good it's timeless. You parents probably listened to it and years later it's still so freaking good. I don't know what it is about the song whether it's Bruce's voice or the bells in the background, but it's amaze.

3. "All I Want For Christmas Is You" by Mariah Carey

We're now back in the 90's era because 90's Mariah was a STAR. She's still pretty awesome today, but when this song came out she really was peaking in the midst of her glory days. The music video is legitimately my Christmas spirit animal and her voice is giving me ~holiday~ vibes which is most likely why this song comes in at number 3.

4. "My Only Wish This Year" by Britney Spears

B. Spears really had something special going on here. This song is sometimes forgotten but, like, not by us. We know it and we've got it on repeat for the next two and a half weeks. Okay, yes, maybe it is a bit on the slow side but it's still a jam and definitely something to add to the list.

5. "Mistletoe" by Justin Bieber

Baby Bieber is everything in this song. The music video made every single girl wish they were in it and THAT FAKE SNOW, THOUGH. All of it just sticking to his trendy mushroom cut, I can't. It's so adorable and it's also a good song.

6. "Last Christmas" by Wham!

There have been so many renditions of this song since the original came out and we must say, the original version is by far the best. Again, a bit of a slow jam but we're still here for it. And the throwback, oldie video will make you LOL.

7. "White Christmas" by Michael Buble featuring Shaina Twain

When is Michael Buble NOT a gem? He always comes out with some of the best songs and his voice is always on point. This only comes in at number 7 because it isn't his song, it's a cover. Regardless, we're still listening.

8. "Blue Christmas" by Elvis

The King has spoken! If you don't particularly like Elvis, then this song isn't for you. It's a take on his classic rock voice paired with the Christmas theme. Because he was such a legendary musician and public figure, it really just felt wrong not to include him on the list. But, take a listen, you might actually enjoy it more than you think!

9. "Santa Tell Me" by Ariana Grande

Ariana is the queen of pop but we really admire her enthusiasm for putting the effort in to get into the Christmas spirit. The music video is cute but it's no N'Sync Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays song, let's get real.

10. "Greatest Time of the Year" by Aly and AJ

Lastly, we've got Aly and AJ rounding out the list. This song is fun and a pretty good listen, but we wouldn't call it a classic that people will be listening to for years to come which is why they came in at number 10. Regardless, it's still Christmasy AF.
