Jennette McCurdy has a new series coming out on Netflix called Between, and according to the former Nickelodeon star, the show helped her cope with her pent up emotions. The Sam & Cat actress recently opened up to The Hollywood Reporter and admitted that she hasn't truly cried in the past few years. Since the actress went through a major family tragedy in 2013 when her mother passed away, this is definitely a bit shocking to hear.

Thankfully, all of that changed while she was shooting Between in Toronto. Jennette has emotional scenes in the show and having to cry on screen helped her to confront her real-life feelings.

"The whole time [I was on the set of Between] I felt like I grew a lot and dealt with my emotions in a way I hadn't for years when I put them on the back burner," Jennette said. "[Before that,] I stopped crying. I would make jokes about serious things because that was easiest."

"I just felt like I became an emotional wreck again, which was nice to remember I could feel like that."

We're so glad that Jennette was finally able to deal with her emotions rather than to try and avoid them. We can't imagine how difficult the entire experience must have been.
