Star of Shark Night 3D Sara Paxton took time to chat with J-14 about her experience filming the upcoming movie, which is out September 2.

J-14: Can you tell me a little bit about the character you play in the movie?
Sara
: I play Sara, and at the very beginning of the movie she is like the girl next store, nice girl, and as the plot thickens and unfolds, you sort of realize that she has this dark path and she has a really big secret.

J-14: Were you scared at all during filming? Sharks are scary.
Sara:
I was. I was scared for myself. I was under water breathing through a tube for two hours trying not to drown. People ask me, 'How did you act underwater? How did you act like you were scared of the shark and you couldn't breathe?" Well, because I couldn't breath and I'm scared of sharks!

J-14: Did you have to complete any special training since some scenes were filmed under water?
Sara:
We did. It was really fun. We were all under water looking at each other with these masks on and scuba equipment and waving. We also had to learn how to do all these fight sequences under water all under one breathe. It was pretty difficult.

J-14: Did you have any embarrassing moments while you were filming?
Sara:
We'd have night shoots, so it would be like 3 o'clock in the morning and we are filming these really intense crying scenes and some people are freaking out, and people get a little loopy at 3 o'clock in the morning. So me and Katharine McPhee are doing this scene by this boat on a dock and every single take the rubber kept bumping the dock and making this really loud, really realistic farting noise, and every single time we would break character and start laughing. And the director was getting so mad at us!

J-14: Were you close with your castmates?
Sara:
We did everything together. It didn't matter how tired we were at the end of the day, nobody just went upstairs and was alone. Everyone came down for dinner every night, we would go to movies together, we went shopping together. We were a really solid group.
