Is might not be Friday, but this day just got a whole lot freakier!
Disney alum Lindsay Lohan is ready to revamp her career in more ways than one, and she’s actually asking her former employer to help her out. Disney has been the cause of so many classic movies, specifically ones that Lindsay had a lead role in. Now, she’s looking to reprise these lead roles and bring her fans some of the magic that she brought to all of our living rooms years ago.
However, will Disney take her requests seriously? This motivated gal has been making headlines lately when it comes to Mean Girls, but now she’s got her sights set on other things in addition to her plastics role.
Lindsay tweeted at Disney yesterday and said, “@Disney let’s do Freaky Friday & Herbie sequels ?RT if you want this?.”
YASSS! This would seriously be incredible. Not to mention, the tweet got almost 6,000 retweets which means the rest of the world agrees – there should be a Freaky Friday and Herbie sequel. This isn’t the first time Lindsay has advocated for a second movie to an already iconic film. A few weeks ago, she said she wanted a Mean Girls sequel as well and she revealed she wouldn’t stop until it went into production!
When asked if some of the bigwigs in the biz should make this happen, LiLo said, “Yes, they should. They’re smart with timing. It will come when the time is right. It’s a great movie. It’s a cult film…I know Tina Fey and Lorne Michaels and all of Paramount [Pictures] are very busy. But I will keep forcing it and pushing it on them until we do it. I would love to have Jamie Lee Curtis and Jimmy Fallon in the movie.”
This gal has her hopes set high and we can only have our fingers crossed that these ideas become reality.
Do you have any idea what a sequel to Freaky Friday would even be about? Would Anna have her own daughter and the switch would happen again? Would she have married Jake and lived happily ever after? There are so many questions, but there’s no doubt that this movie would be totally epic. AND, we have a feeling that Jamie Lee Curtis would definitely be down to make a cameo which would make this whole thing even sweeter!
AND we can’t forget about Herbie. What would be going on there? Where would the car be or what would the car be doing? So many scenarios and so many things are possible.
So, Disney, Lindsay, will we see a reboot?!
